Cookies Policy

BEFORE YOU START...

This Cookies Policy presents information regarding our use of cookies and similar tools which are installed on our client and user workstations. The use of cookies may sometimes be linked to personal data processing. Therefore, we recommend you read our Privacy Policy, which can be accessed on our platform, if you want to find out more about how we use the personal data of our clients and users, how to exercise your rights or the terminology we use when referring to our platform (website, app or physical stores).

INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file which a website, app or other platform installs on your computer, tablet, smartphone or other similar device, and containing information about your browsing or use, like a label which identifies your device. Cookies are, for example, necessary to make browsing easier and to know how users interact with the platforms to help improve their functionality. They are also very useful to offer ads in line with user preferences, as well as other purposes outlined below. Cookies do not damage your computer or device.

When we talk about “cookies”, we are also referring to other similar technologies used to install and/or collect information such as flash cookies, web beacons or bugs, pixels, HTML5 (local storage), and SDK technologies for apps. The term “cookies” is also applicable to the use of fingerprinting techniques, namely information combination techniques which help us to identify your device. These technologies often work hand in hand to collect and store information, either to provide you with certain functions or services on our platform, or to display ads on third party platforms on the basis of your browsing.

This explanation is a summary of what we mean by cookies and is provided for information. The cookies which we specifically use are indicated on the cookies settings panel, accessible on our platform.

2. What type of cookies exist?

Please read this section providing an overview of the type of cookies which may be used online.

Depending on the owner of cookies, they may be classified as follows:

  • a. Internal cookies: These are cookies sent to the user’s computer or device from a device or domain managed by the publisher, and from which the platform or service requested by the user is offered.
  • b. Third-party cookies: These are cookies which are sent to the user computer or device from a device or domain which is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity processing data collected by the cookies.

Depending on the purpose of the cookies, they may be classified as follows:

  • a. Essential (technical) cookies: These are cookies which allow users to browse on a website, platform or app and use the various options or services on offer: traffic control, identification of data or connection, access to restricted sections or content, remembering order information, order purchasing, payment management, security fraud prevention, use of security information when browsing, subscription or event participation requests, storage of content for the broadcast of videos or sounds, installation of dynamic content (for instance, an animation when loading text or images) or content sharing via social media. Technical cookies are essential and, consequently, uploaded by default when they allow the platform or service requested by the user to be displayed.
  • b. Functionality or personalisation cookies: These are cookies which allow for the storage of information to allow users to access the service or platform with certain characteristics which may change the experience from that of other users, such as for instance, the language, number of search results to be displayed, the appearance or content of the service depending on the user’s browser or region from which s/he accesses the service, etc. Refusal of these cookies may lead to slower performance of the website or unsuitable recommendations.
  • c. Analytics cookies: These are cookies which determine the number of users, sections visited on the platform and how they react with the platform, and which allow for statistical measurement and analysis of how users use the platform or service, to make improvements based on data analysis of this use.
  • d. Behavioural advertising cookies: These are cookies which store information regarding user behaviour, obtained from the continuous observation of browsing habits, and which allow for a specific profile to be created to display targeted ads. These cookies allow for the most effective possible management of advertising space included by the publisher, either directly or in collaboration with third parties.

3. Why do we use cookies on our platform?

Cookies are essential for the operation of our platform. The primary aim of these cookies is to make your browsing experience as pleasant and effective as possible. They are, for example, used to remember your preferences (language, country) during browsing and future visits. We also use our cookies to constantly improve our services and platform, and to propose targeted ads based on your browsing habits.

The information collected by cookies also allows us to improve our platform through estimations regarding statistical data and usage models (number of visits, most frequently visited sections, duration of visit, etc.), to use statistical indicators to understand how users interact with the platform to improve our services, and to adapt our platform to your individual interests and to speed up searches, etc.

We may sometimes use cookies to collect information which allows us to use our platform, third-party platforms or any other method to display targeted ads based on your browsing habits (products visited, sections consulted, etc.).

In all instances, the cookies we use never store any sensitive information such as passwords, credit or debit card details, etc.

4. How can I manage the use of cookies on this platform?

In the cookies settings panel, which can be accessed at any time on our platform, you can view all information concerning the cookies we use, as well as information regarding the purpose, duration and management (of our cookies or third-party cookies), allowing you to manage the activation or deactivation of use of cookies which are not essential for operation of the platform.

We tell you how this can be done in the most popular web browsers:
