Picked in spring, the morel is one of the mushrooms that appears earliest in the forest. It generally grows in spring under deciduous or coniferous trees and particularly likes bright undergrowth. Our dried morels from France are the perfect accompaniment to white meats, poultry, sweetbreads, red meats and pasta, and go well with asparagus or peas. They go perfectly with crème fraîche or in a morel crust. For dessert, these French morels are ideal on a skewer accompanied by salted butter caramel and exotic fruit.
